Supplements made of herbs have been used for thousands of years. Today, herbal supplements are used frequently by consumers in the United States. However, not everyone is suitable for them. The use of herbal supplements remains contentious due to the fact that they are not subject to close scrutiny by the FDA or other regulatory agencies. • Gingko Biloba: This herb is used to treat memory loss and poor circulation, both of which are signs of aging.

• Ginseng is thought to increase energy levels and stress resistance and is used as a general tonic to improve body tone.

• Goldenseal This American herb is well-known for its antiseptic (or stopping germs) and healing properties. Not only does it help with colds and flu, but it also helps with pain and inflammation in the lining of the nose.

• Green tea this herb is used to combat fatigue, help people lose weight, prevent arteriosclerosis and some cancers, and lower cholesterol.

• Hawthorn Angina, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, heart failure, and other heart-related conditions are all commonly treated with hawthorn.

• Saw palmetto: A common problem for men over 50 is an enlarged prostate, which can be treated with saw palmetto.

• St. John’s wart, a wild herb with yellow flowers, has been used for centuries to treat mental disorders. Currently, it is commonly used to treat mild to moderate depression.
